Invader Cain
Band

Auckland based band Invader Cain formed in late 2009 and quickly established themselves on the local scene with their first EP, 'This is the moment'. The single 'Shonky' peaked at number 4 on the Top 10 Kiwi songs where it remained for 4 weeks. 'Shonky' continued on heavy rotation via Kiwi FM and C4's 'Homegrown' (which featured the accompanying video). The single 'Sleep' followed with extensive play on NZ radio stations and is currently enjoying rotation on BFM.

Invader Cain gig extensively around venues in Auckland including The Kings Arms, Juice Bar, The Rising Sun and the Dog's Bollix and are developing a local following.

Invader Cain joined 'Mile High' on their 2010 North Island winter tour.

Invader Cain more recently entered the 'Jim Beam Homegrown' band search and was chosen by 'The Rock' to compete for a place at the Homegrown festival. Over 140 bands entered the competition and Invader Cain ended up finishing 4th.

Invader Cain has just finished the first track of their upcoming EP 'Feeling the trend but thinking again', 'Burning' at York Street Studios working with producer Hayden Taylor (Blindspot/Blacklist) who has also worked with Black Eye Peas & The Feelers. The track was mastered at York Street Studios by their experienced mastering engineer Chris Winchcombe.

Invader Cain is a hard working band with aspirations to push their art as far as it can go. The second half of 2011 is going to include the completion of their second EP 'Feeling the trend but thinking again' along with another North Island tour and another music video.
